WHO AM I?

First - the acronyms…

I am a Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), Restorative Wellness Practitioner (RWP - Lvl 2), Institute for Integrative Nutrition Certified Health Coach (IIN) and a Cancer Peace University Instructor (CPU). But more than that…

I am compassionate, a researcher, an athlete, a lifetime learner, inquisitive, determined, stubborn, a lover of people and I believe in mankind’s inherent kindness. But those are aspects of me - trying to define people by these is an endless prospect. We are comprised of the thousands of choices and actions we have chosen or experienced along the way; we are all multi-faceted. As a wellness coach, nutritional therapy practitioner, cancer-monkey tosser and sports performance trainer, I choose to help others help themselves. But I’m also a wife, mom, friend, confidant and...

I’m a 16 year cancer survivor who brought her husband through to thriving on the other side of a severe traumatic brain injury. More recently, my husband and I are Ironman triathletes and Ironman 70.3 Championship qualifiers. I’ve competed in a figure competition (wanted to push outside my comfort zone), run marathons and sprinted 5ks. I played hard core soccer for 18 years, until I had to stop and deal with severe endometriosis. Every one of these things made me learn to be who I am today. And each required certain choices to optimize/survive the moment. I learned as I went along how to be my best self; I am still learning.

We are all busy. We have different experiences, different goals, different needs. What worked for one person, may not work for another. We need to discover what works best for our own unique complexities. And we have the best potential teachers - ourselves. The key is learning to listen to what your body and mind are telling you. This may sound easy to some, but not to everyone; and it definitely takes trial and error.

I have spent many years deep diving into numerous health and wellness rabbit holes - I love to research. I have always been a helper, imparting my knowledge as requested when the moment arises. But that was only drops in the bucket. I decided the best way to help the most amount of people would be to start this site’s offerings. It has been a labor of love, and through this site, I look forward to helping you build a healthier life - in a way that fits your life, your goals and your experiences. Life, personalized.

For (your) health,

Sandra Carrasco
